About Pat Breen

Pat is a certified USPTA Elite Tennis Professional, a program organizer for junior and adult tennis programs in Lewes, Delaware, certified racquetball and tennis racquet stringer and the Assistant Boys Tennis coach at Cape Henlopen High School in Lewes, DE.

Moved to Delaware in 2011 and served as an instructor at Sea Colony for three years before being named Head Racquet Sports Director at The Peninsula Golf & Country Club, 2013-17 in Millsboro, DE. 

 

Before moving to Delaware in 2011, Pat spent twenty-four years as a collegiate tennis coach for both men’s and women’s teams. He served as head coach at Longwood University, University of Louisiana at Monroe, Samford University and Georgia Southern College. At Longwood he lead the tennis program through a successful transition from NCAA Division II to Division I, and his teams won three National Independent Tournament titles. While at Samford he developed three NCAA Top 50 Div I nationally ranked players (each player reached top 300 ITF world ranking), won two conference titles and three times broke into the Division I Top 50 national team rankings.

 

A two-time All-American at Abraham Baldwin College and member of a national junior college championship team, Pat was inducted into Abraham Baldwin’s Athletic Hall of Fame in 2009. He completed his collegiate playing career at McNeese State, a Top 25 nationally ranked team.

 

Pat lives in Lewes with his wife B.R. where they enjoy the coastal lifestyle.
